We are just days away from the premiere of the highly-anticipated Show TV drama series, Sandık Kokusu.
The O3 Medya-produced series, which is reportedly inspired by real-life events, is written by Melis Civelek and Zeynep Gür, and Nezaket Coşkun is directing. Özge Özpirinçci, Demet Akbağ, Metin Akdülger, and Necip Memili share the leading role in the series.
Özpirinçci is back in her element as Karsu, a 30-something-year-old who is stuck in an unhappy marriage. Her husband, Reha, is an abusive man and a useless father, so when Karsu gives birth to her third child, she realizes that she can't take care of the three children alone. To ease the burden, she decides to send her three-year-old son, Kuzey, to Istanbul to stay with her mother Filiz, for a while. However, on the trip to Istanbul, Kuzey disappears, and soon the police abandon the search. After three years of searching, Karsu meets Kuzey on a trip to Mersin. Karsu is relieved to be reunited with her son. However, Kuzey, who now goes by the name Deniz, does not recognize her and has a new family with Ozan, who he now sees as his father.
Sandık Kokusu will bring the audience the struggle of a strong woman to survive, the difficult journey of being a family, and the difficult journey of being liberated despite the burdens from the past. The series also stars
