Ay Yapım has, for years, strengthened its mark in the dizi industry, with their particularly top-tier productions. Joining their repertoire this season is Alev Alev, a Turkish remake of the phenomenal mini French series, 'Le Bazar de la Charité' (The Bonfire of Destiny on Netflix).
3 Women. 3 Destinies. A fire that changed EVERYTHING. The eagerly-awaited Alev Alev is a story of finding one's self, finding the strength to move on, seeking justice, and finding true love. The series stars Demet Evgar, Hazar Ergüçlü, Dilan Çiçek Deniz, Cem Bender, Berkay Ateş, Cihangir Ceyhan, Berker Güven, and Toprak Can Adıgüzel.
The latest addition to the cast is veteran actress Zuhal Olcay, who will bring the character Doktor Tomris to life.
Like the other characters in the story, the life of Doctor Tomris will also change drastically after the fire and it will result in her going down a path of no return.
Unlike any other female-fronted story on TV thus far, Alev Alev, which is set in present-day, unlike the original series, will utilize the three very solid lead female characters in telling powerful ripped-from-the-headline stories that have particularly made the news and/or taken social media by storm.
First of the solid female leads is Cemre (Demet Evgar); who along with her little daughter, tries to escape the violent nightmare of a marriage she has fallen into after fondly getting married. Next up is Rüya (Dilan Çiçek Deniz); who has never faced the bitter side of reality as a result of her beautiful and privileged life. They are joined by Çiçek (Hazar Ergüçlü); who is on the verge of losing her identity and her beauty that is identical to her existence while trying to start a clean slate to a happy life.
Alev Alev, written by Burcu Görgün Toptaş (Kuzgun) and directed Ahmet Katıksız, is slated to premiere Thursday, October 22 on Show TV!
