This week marks a turning point for Kanal D International's hit Turkish drama series, Secret of Pearls (İnci Taneleri), as the long-awaited revelation of the true culprit behind the murder of Azem’s wife will finally unfold.
As a refresher, the series revolves around Azem (played by Turkish icon Yılmaz Erdoğan), who spent many years in prison for the murder of his wife, a crime he did not commit. Upon his release, Azem, having missed out on watching his children grow up, soon discovers just how far removed he is from the life he once knew.
Despite his release, many still believe he is guilty of the crime, but the real killer's days of being in the shadows are coming to an end.
"As new clues emerge, suspicions intensify, and shocking revelations shake the very foundation of the story, fans will be left questioning everything they thought they knew," reads the press release.
There's more. A new character — Candan, aka Ayşe — is on the way with even more intrigue. Who is she, and why is she searching for Azem? Her sudden appearance raises more questions than answers, and her true identity remains a mystery. Could she be connected to the crime, or is she the key to uncovering the real murderer?
Tensions are high, and so is the growing list of suspects. Could the guilty party be Candan? One of Azem’s own children? Or is there an even more shocking twist yet to be revealed?
