It's official: "Sandık Kokusu" (I Am Mother) has been renewed for Season 2 at Show TV!
The series produced by O3 Medya premiered in November 2023 and has since been hugely successful in Turkey. It has consistently scored top ratings, especially in the key AB demographic, and remains one of the most-watched shows every Wednesday despite competing with other prime-time shows.
Starring Özge Özpirinçci (Woman, Into the Deep) in the lead role, Sandık Kokusu follows the story of Karsu, a woman whose unhappy and abusive marriage is only the start of her problems, as her family is split apart and she loses one of her three children who is kidnapped en route to being cared for by his grandmother. Karsu must fight to regain her son while also trying to hold together the rest of her family in the face of strained relations with her own mother.
