Well, that was a short casting process. It's been less than a week since Med Yapim announced their Turkish adaptation of UK phenomenon, Doctor Foster. In that short week, the production house has also managed to cast its leading lady and it's seasoned actress Cansu Dere.
Like the original, the yet-to-be-titled Turkish original will follow the story of a woman who after suspects her husband is cheating on her, starts an investigation that leads her down a dark path of obsession. The award-winning original aired on BBC One in the UK before streaming worldwide of Netflix.
Production will begin for the Turkish version shortly to ready it for the new season, starting in September. The series will air on Kanal D then, with Neslihan Yeşilyurt (Yasak Elma) set to direct.
Cansu Dere is best known for her roles in shows like Sıla, Ezel, Anne, and International Emmy-winning series, Şahsiyet.
