Synopsis

In the magnificent mansion in Büyükada, the family under the leadership of authoritarian Şakir Pasha and his devoted wife İsmet Hanım is shaken by the return of their son Cevat, who has been abroad for a long time. Cevat arrives with his Italian wife and baby, and this visit brings old grievances and deep conflicts within the family to light. İsmet Hanım's joy and Şakir Pasha's cold reception are signs of the major crises awaiting the family.
