That sound you just heard? It's us, screaming with excitement about this brand new FOX rom-com! We would never have thought of pairing up these two but since the announcement was made, we simply cannot contain our excitement.
The highly-anticipated "Sen Çal Kapımı" will officially start filming in Istanbul in June, with Hande Erçel and Kerem Bürsin taking the lead. They are joined by others like Neslihan Yeldan, Evrim Doğan, Bige Önal, İsmail Ege Şaşmaz, Anıl İlter, Melisa Döngel, Çağrı Çıtanak, Elçin Afacan, Sitare Akbaş, Başak Gümülcinelioğlu, Alican Aytekin, Sarp Bozkurt, Dorukhan Kenger and İlkyaz Arslan. The romantic comedy, Produced by MF Yapim, will be directed by Ender Mihlar (Her Yerde Sen) and written by Ayşe Üner Kutlu (Erkenci Kuş).
"Sen Çal Kapımı" will follow the story of Eda Yıldız (Hande Erçel), who had all her hopes tied to gaining an education until her hopes were cut short by Serkan Bolat (Kerem Bürsin), who deprived her of a study-abroad scholarship, thus focusing her to remain a high school graduate.
Serkan has a proposal for Eda: Pretend to be engaged to him for two months and he'd return her scholarship.
Although Eda first refuses the offer of this man she hates, she is forced to accept it when circumstances change. While pretending to be engaged, Serkan and Eda begin to have a passionate, challenging relationship that will make them forget all that they know to be true. They'd discover that though love is hard, it is amazing.
Speaking on the series, Hande stated in an interview on May 21 that she excited to be playing a fun character, a stark contrast from the roles she has had in the past. "I am very happy to be working with a very sweet and extraordinary person", she gushed about her co-star Kerem.
