The Dizilah team was amongst the attendees at today's (July 14) MADDNEXT event, which was held as a virtual session in partnership with NATPE V-Front™. The event, put together by one of Turkey's biggest distribution houses, kicked off 1:00 PM EST and its hour-long duration was packed with enjoyable and insight-filled conversations.

Moderated by MADD's Managing Director Ateş İnce, the main goal of the event was to delve deeper into Turkish Dramas, a genre in its own right. MADD also utilized the opportunity to introduce its brand new dramas to the international market: The Teacher (Öğretmen) and Nehir (Baraj), the first being a remake of the Japanese drama 'Mr Hiiragi's Homeroom' and the latter being a remake of an infamous Turkish movie with the same title.

During the presentation, appearances were made from stars of the aforementioned titles, The Teacher's Ilker Kaleli, Ceren Moray, and Afra Saraçoğlu.

Established in 2018, MADD Entertainment is the product of a mega collaboration between two leading producers of hit Turkish dramas – AY YAPIM and MED YAPIM. Under its belt, AY YAPIM has two major International Emmy wins, while MEDYAPIM on the other hand is known for its successful adaptations, including international sensations THE GIRL NAMED FERIHA and MOTHER, amongst many other impressive accomplishments.

The MADDNext event was a first of its kind, and in its very best moments, it thrust Turkish dramas to the forefront, where they rightfully belong.
