Ahead of starting production on Sunday, the cast and crew of Show TV’s upcoming series “Veliaht,” produced by FARO, gathered for a table read.
Set against the backdrop of Esenler Bus Terminal, the series will portray the power struggles within the family and a great love story. The cast unites both veterans and young actors, including Akın Akınözü, Serra Arıtürk, Ercan Kesal, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, Hazal Türesan, Derya Karadaş, Tansu Biçer, Bora Akkaş, Erdem Şenocak, Arif Pişkin, Ayşegül Ünsal, Burak Altay, Kayhan Açıkgöz, Sabahattin Yakut, Selin Köseoğlu, Selin Dumlugöl, Volkan Kıran, and Ufkum Kalaoğlu.
“Veliaht,” based on an original story by Tunahan Kurt with a screenplay by Berrin Tekdemir, Necip Güleçer, and Tunahan Kurt, promises a gripping exploration of family ties, buried secrets, power, love, and revenge. Sinan Öztürk will direct the series.
The plot centers around patriarch Zülfikar Karslı, who is losing his influence at the bus terminal due to health issues. Everyone's eyes are on his son, Zafer, who is expected to return from abroad. Meanwhile, Timur, a mobile mechanic struggling with debts inherited from his father, crosses paths with this mysterious family. He unwittingly steps into an unknown destiny, becoming known as Zafer Karslı, Zülfikar Karslı's heir. From this point on, nothing will be the same for Zülfikar's children — Kudret, Derya, Cennet, Zafer, and Zafer's wife, Reyhan.
Backed by a compelling storyline and strong ensemble cast, Veliaht will premiere in September on Show TV.
