First Look - 'Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir' (formerly 'Evim'), starring Demet Özdemir & İbrahim Çelikkol

After a very successful run playing one of the leds in a now-concluded series, it is no surpirse that when the name Demet Özdemir is mentioned, Erkenci Kuş and / or Can Yaman immediately come to mind. That certainly won't end anytime soon as Erkenci Kuş has easily become of one the most popular series in the history of Turkish series!

With that said, we're excited as Demet Özdemir is set step out of her romantic comedy element to star in a forthcoming drama series, based on the book. The series, tentatively titled 'Evim' will reportedly air on TV8 or Star TV. Per now-confirmed rumors, Demet's part in the series will be another a-lister, İbrahim Çelikkol (most recently known for his role in the Kanal D series, Siyah Beyaz Ask). 

About The Series

Produced by OGM Pictures and produced by Onur Güvenatam, Demet Özdemir and İbrahim Çelikkol will play the leading role in the “Evim” project, inspired by a real life story in Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu's novel. The ambitious project is penned by successful screenwriter Eylem Canpolat and directed by Cagri Bayrak.


The fire of suffering as a child is not easily extinguished, it is not easily forgotten and its traces remain throughout one's lives.

İbrahim Çelikkol will play the character Mehdi and Demet Özdemir's will play the character by Zeynep. Together, the two wounded souls, whom life has treated badly from the start, will find their sense of belonging together and will write a difficult love legend. The duo will retell this journey to their audience with all the words related to love in the dictionary.

Evim will reportedly begin filming in December, in preperation for an early launch in 2020!
