Disney+ is resuming the production of local original content worldwide, including in Türkiye. Among the first productions in the works is Aşkı Hatırla, a new romantic comedy series starring Hande Erçel and Barış Arduç. Yes, you read that right!
The 8-episode series will mark the reunion of the duo, which has had the internet abuzz since a film starring them both was announced earlier this year. O3 Medya produces the series, featuring an original story written by Ahmet Vatan, with Özgür Önurme, the project’s creator, also taking the helm as director.

What is Aşkı Hatırla about?
The series follows renowned architect Deniz (Barış Arduç) and popular editor Güneş (Hande Erçel), who, on the verge of marriage, experience breakups in their respective lives. However, their lives take a transformative turn when, on the same evening, they cross paths by chance, a message on their phones sets them on a journey that will change everything. This new adventure leads them to uncover the missing pieces in their relationship and rediscover love.

In addition to Hande Erçel ve Barış Arduç, the cast of Aşkı Hatırla also includes notable names such as Feyyaz Şerifoğlu, Başak Gümülcinelioğlu, Alper Saldıran, Naz Göktan, Begüm Akkaya, Melis Minkari, Sezin Akbaşoğulları, and Fatih Al.
Where is Aşkı Hatırla filming?
Production for Aşkı Hatırla officially began in December 2024, with filming taking place in Istanbul and Cappadocia. An excited Hande Erçel shared a photo from a plane—presumably en route to Cappadocia—captioned “Güneş’in yolculuğuna doğru” (“A journey towards the sun”), a nod to her character, Güneş, in the series.
When will Aşkı Hatırla be released?
The official release date for the series remains TBA, but Disney+ is expected to have a (re)launch event in February 2025.
