'Dynasty' Turkish Remake in the Works at Star TV

In dizi land, one can never have too many remakes.

A Turkish remake of the American primetime soap opera Dynasty is currently in the works at Star TV, per TV100 Details are currently under wraps, but so far, we know the remake is being helmed by Ay Yapım, the production company that has brought us many successful remakes like Call My Manager (Menajerimi Ara), Falcon Crest (Şahin Tepesi), Flames of Fate (Alev Alev).

The original Dynasty series which premiered in the 1980s, centers around two of America's richest families plot and compete against each other to wrest control of the family fortune while trying to control the lives of their children. The present-day remake of the series [pictured] is currently on air on The CW in the States.

Casting is underway for the Turkish remake, and while nothing is official yet, rumor has it that fan-favorite actress Demet Özdemir is in talks to star.
