ATV Distribution made Wednesday, October 23, a memorable one with the launch of its new series, 'The Nightfall' (Bir Gece Masalı).
The series, which garnered quite the buzz at MIPCOM, follows the story of Mahir, who returns years later to the place he once called home to avenge the death of his father. Upon his arrival, he encounters and instantly falls in love with a mesmerizing girl named Canfeza, who he later comes to find out is the daughter of the man he blames for his father's death. As events unfold, Mahir is faced with a decision that will change his life forever.
In attendance at the event, held at the beautiful Majestic Hotel in Cannes, were stars Burak Deniz and Su Burcu Yazgı Coşkun, who were welcomed to resounding sounds of applause.
The event, held as a VIP dinner, kicked off with a speech from ATV distribution's Head of Sales, Muge Akar, who welcomed guests from all around the world with the news that the series has done impressively well since its premiere in Türkiye. The Nightfall premiered on ATV to strong viewership, earning ratings of 4.67 among total viewers, 4.48 in the AB category, and 4.84 in the ABC1 category. In its second episode, the series saw a 3.97 ratings increase in the Total category, a 2.49 increase in AB, and a 3.46 increase in the ABC1 category.
"We are very excited about this story. It's fantastic. [It features] a passionate love story with brilliant acting," Akar told Dizilah. "I think it will be the next hit in the international market," she added.
Next up, The Nightfall will be showcased at MIP Cancun in November.
