Ali Riza races to the hospital with Halide after she was shot by Numan. Before she loses consciousness, she tells Ali Riza she knows he still loves her even though he left her and says if something happens to her, she doesn’t want him to forget how much she loved him. Once he gets her to the hospital and they rush her into emergency surgery, Burak arrives. He accuses Ali Riza of setting him up with Numan and causing Halide’s accidental shooting. They confront each other but Ferit and Fiko break them up but not before Ali Riza tells Burak he’s going to kill him. Fiko grabs Burak and tells him Numan got away from him and Ali Riza’s people are chasing him. Burak orders him to go find him but Fiko refuses to leave him alone near Ali Riza. Haşmet and Melek arrive at the hospital and once he sees Halide lying unconscious on the bed, he grabs Ali Riza and tells him if Halide dies, he’s not leaving anyone alive, including him.
Meanwhile, Hasan and the cabbies chase Numan who attempts to escape but they finally locate him hiding in his old neighborhood. They call Ali Riza who rushes from the hospital to meet them. At the same time, Numan calls Burak to let him know Ali Riza’s people have him surrounded and if he doesn’t help him, he’s telling the consortium everything. Burak panics and tells him he’s on his way. He has to get to Numan first or risk Ali Riza finding out the truth that he’s been working with Numan to destroy him and the consortium.
Ali Riza finally gets to the location where Numan is hiding and before Hasan is able to speak with him, Ali Riza rushes the building and attacks Numan and his men. He locates his brother first, who says Numan ran away and pleads with Ali Riza but he responds with no mercy and kills him. Numan witnesses his brother’s death and attempts to kill Ali Riza but fails so he runs but is caught by Ali Riza. Numan attempts to make a deal by telling him he’ll confess to everything about Burak as long as he doesn’t kill him but again Ali Riza tells him no mercy and proceeds to beat him to death. Hasan asks Ali Riza why he killed Numan instead of using him to explain to the consortium about Burak and at that moment, Burak arrives. Ali Riza tells Hasan that Burak will be the person who will answer their questions.
Fuat begins to worry about Burak after not being able to get ahold of him especially after hearing what happened with Halide. He asks Murat and Ryfky to look for him. At the hospital, the doctors tell Haşmet that Halide did well during the surgery and will recover. Mithat arrives with Derya to accompany Haşmet and Melek. They leave after receiving news that Halide will be moved to recover. The other two consortium partners, Galip and Sheymuz, arrive to accompany Hasmet. They ask if Fuat has been in contact with him, Hasmet tells them he hasn’t seen or heard from him. Galip tells Hasmet they will deal with Numan as soon as possible but Hasmet tells them that Ali Riza already took care of him and they will also deal with whoever he was working with, which they all suspect is Burak.
Later, Ali Riza arrives at the hospital again to check on Halide but finds Haşmet with her so as he’s leaving, Haşmet sees Ali Riza and goes to speak with him. He asks Ali Riza who does a person devotes their life to, and what and who they love becomes their life as well as their end. Ali Riza understands what Haşmet is telling him, so he says he’s OK if it’s the end of his life as long as Halide is safe. As Haşmet returns to Halide’s room, Ali Riza tells him he killed Numan and if he orders it, he will also take care of Burak. Haşmet tells him he’s done and now he’s going to take care of the rest himself. Before leaving, Haşmet reminds him to stay away from him and Halide.
After Mithat returned from his trip, Melek shares the recording of Murat’s confession of killing Haşmet's family with him and is shocked that Fuat could do such a thing. He asks Melek not to tell Haşmet yet to try to prevent a war that will hurt everyone involved. Melek tells him she doesn’t care as long as her sister’s death is avenged. Mithat tells her he understands and will plan a very cruel way for her to avenge her sister and nephew’s deaths.
When Ali Riza gets home, he finds his mother waiting for him. He tells her Halide is doing better but Ms. Rukiya tells him she already knew that since she was at the hospital with her earlier in the day. She suggests they go to the hospital in the morning together, but Ali Riza tells her they can’t because he has to stay away from her. He says he should stay away from everyone since he’s only spreading death which worries Ms. Rukiya that he’s thinking like that.
Fuat finally makes it to the hospital later that evening with Murat but not to check on Halide. He still hasn’t been able to contact Burak and suspects Haşmet or Ali Riza have done something to him. When the men confront each other, Fuat asks Haşmet if he knows anything about Burak but Haşmet interrupts him and tells him he’s been too worried about his daughter’s life to think about anything else. Fuat tells him the last place anyone saw Burak was at the hospital. He says the attack wasn’t meant for Halide but was aimed at Burak, so Haşmet asks what business could Burak have with Numan that could cause an attack. Fuat attempts to threaten Haşmet by reminding him that he has gotten rid of his enemies in the past so Haşmet tells him he’ll find Burak and then they will see who will get punished.
The next day, Fuat still hasn’t been able to contact Burak and becomes even angrier when he’s not able to get in touch with Ali Riza. He complains to Mithat that Haşmet has been threatening him and thinks he did something to Burak. He calls a meeting with the consortium to discuss the possibility of Haşmet and Ali Riza killing Burak.
Burak’s whereabouts are finally revealed. He’s tied to a chair in an abandoned house. He wakes up when he hears the door crash open and in walks Ali Riza. Burak has a flashback and remembers the last time he saw Ali Riza was right after he killed Numan. He remembers challenging Ali Riza to a fight that he was losing and right before Ali Riza was about to break his neck, they heard police sirens and Burak lost consciousness.
Burak asks Ali Riza if he’s going to torture him but Ali Riza says he’s in the last place he’ll ever see. Burak attempts to irritate Ali Riza by bringing up Halide, so he tells Burak she didn’t feel anything for him besides pity and now hatred. Ali Riza tells Burak he’s taking him to the consortium where he’s going to confess to working with Numan. Burak confesses he did use Numan to destroy Ali Riza but refuses to do it in front of the consortium. He taunts Ali Riza by telling him he can’t kill him otherwise his death will start a war. Ali Riza proceeds to have Ferit soak Burak in gasoline and just as Ali Riza holds a lighter next to him, Burak agrees to confess in front of the consortium. After hearing his agreement, Haşmet walks in and asks Ali Riza if he thinks he’ll really speak at the meeting. Ali Riza tells him not to worry, he’ll make him talk. As they leave for the meeting Ali Riza puts Burak in the trunk of his car.
Before the meeting starts, Fuat is angry and yelling that he suspects Haşmet and Ali Riza killed Burak who’s been missing for a few days. He demands they sentence both of them to death immediately for killing him. All of a sudden, Ali Riza appears with Burak and throws him at Fuat who demands to know what’s going on. Haşmet appears and tells Fuat to ask his son that question. When Burak stays quiet, Haşmet tells them Burak was Numan’s accomplice who confessed to Ali Riza. When Fuat asks Burak if it’s true, Burak says it is but he tries to explain he did it because of Ali Riza. He says Ali Riza isn’t one of them and is trying to destroy them. After they hear Burak confess, Haşmet tells the consortium they should pass a verdict on Burak’s fate, however, Fuat asks for one day which Haşmet unwillingly agrees. Burak is dragged to the basement of his own home where he will be kept until the following day when his punishment is given.
When Haşmet arrives at his residence, Melek is still there who kept Halide company while he was away. Before Melek leaves, Haşmet asks her to tell him what she wanted to tell him before they were interrupted. Melek lies and tells Haşmet that Mithat deleted the recording that was about Fuat offering him a job that they were trying to plan behind his back. Haşmet tells Melek she’s just trying to hurt Mithat since she’s planning on divorcing him and he isn’t interested in getting involved in their private affairs. Meanwhile, Halide receives a call from Ali Riza. She’s still hurt thinking that he hasn’t gone to see her while she was at the hospital so she asks why he’s worried if he just left her at the hospital and never returned. Ali Riza tells her he understands she’s upset but he just wants her to be OK. She tells him he doesn’t understand because if he’s not with her, then she isn’t OK. When Ali Riza tells her he has to hang up, she gets mad and tells him to never call or see her again.
Ali Riza arrives at the taxi café to take a break from all the events that have recently taken place. Hasan tells him he has more bad news and tells him the money they left at the café was stolen after someone broke in. Ali Riza is surprised and wonders who it could have been. Hasan tells him Rasim stole the money with Fatih’s help which he confirmed after following them and finding out they’re both gambling and owning a lot of money.
Derya visits Burak in the basement with the pretext that she’s worried about him. Burak tells her he’s ready to meet his fate so for her to not worry about him. She tells him her father is going to help him and proceeds to give him a phone that she managed to sneak into the room. Of course, the first person Burak calls is Halide. He tells her he was worried about her and asks if she will be upset if he dies. He starts to cry and tells her he was scared she was going to die. Halide gets frustrated with him and hangs up. Burak receives a message that turns out to be the recorded conversation between Murat and Fuat concerning Halide’s family. The message comes from an unidentified number which scares Burak that someone knows what they did. All of a sudden he gets a call from the same number who turns out to be Mithat. He asks Burak if he wants to live or not so Burak tells him he doesn’t have a choice anymore. Mithat tells him not to tell anyone about their conversation or he will release the recording to Haşmet. Mithat offers Burak a decision of who he would prefer to be with, his brother or father. After Mithat hangs up with Burak, he arrives at a secluded parking lot to meet with Fuat. Mithat tells him he’s sorry about Burak but they have rules for a reason. Fuat tells him he always has a plan and wants to know if he has his support since no one else will support him from the consortium.
As Ali Riza takes a walk later that evening, he finds himself at Halide’s clinic. As he stands outside, he sees Muzaffer in the alley waiting for him. He asks Ali Riza why he hasn’t been answering his calls or keeping him in the loop of what he’s been doing. He tells him not to believe in Fuat because he will never give up his sons. Muzaffer tells him he can’t protect him every minute of the day but Ali Riza tells him he trusts him. Muzaffer detects Ali Riza is not acting normal so he asks if he’s having doubts about their operation so Ali Riza tells him a person always suspects those who are nearby, especially the most beloved ones. Muzaffer asks him if he suspects him but Ali Riza attempts to joke with him but Muzaffer doesn’t seem convinced. Ali Riza doesn’t tell him anything that has happened for fear that Muzaffer is the person who’s leaking information to Fuat, so he just tells him that he feels things are changing around him. He says the power he has isn’t changing him but rather his loved ones which he’ll eventually need to confront.
The following morning, Halide arrives at the clinic to find Ali Riza asleep in the waiting room. She wakes him up and before he leaves, she invites him to stay for coffee. Ali Riza asks her why she’s at the clinic if she hasn’t fully recovered yet, she responds that she’s the doctor and the expert. However, Ali Riza responds that he’s the expert when it comes to weapons so Halide, who’s still upset at him, tells him he’s the expert at creating wounds. Halide tells him she still doesn’t understand why he left her. She asks him to tell her the real reason and she promises not to tell anyone. When Ali Riza stays quiet, she accuses him of being like other men in their world who are just trying to rise to the top.
Ali Riza can’t take her accusations anymore and decides to tell her the truth. He says he’s trying to keep his loved ones alive even if it means he has to die trying. Halide tells Ali Riza they can leave and start a new life together away from everyone and everything. She tells him she has never seen anyone win in their world and eventually they lose, especially their loved ones.
Fuat and Murat make a last-minute visit with Burak before he gets his punishment. Fuat tells him not to worry, he will not give him up to his enemies. He tells him not to resist the verdict and to accept the punishment with dignity. He tells him after the consortium gives their punishment, he will be taken away by their men. Fiko will kidnap him from a gas station and after they’re all reunited, they will destroy everyone who was against him including the consortium, and form a new partnership.
The consortium meets to pass the verdict on Burak. They all agree that Burak is to be punished and he’s taken away immediately. In the car, Burak has a meaningless conversation with the two men which Burak starts to think his father lied to him until the driver says they need to fill up on gas. As they drive into the gas station, Burak looks around trying to locate Fiko and doesn’t notice when Ali Riza gets into the car. Immediately, Burak realizes the plan failed or Fuat lied to him. He asks Ali Riza where Fiko is and he tells him Fiko didn’t get there however Fuat wanted him to go to his death without fear and with dignity as they drive off. Until next week.
My Thoughts:
Another great episode that didn’t disappoint. I loved the dream scene with Halide and Ali Riza especially when he called her “My Halide”. It was obvious she was looking for him when she was discharged but was disappointed when she didn’t see him. The fight scene between Ali Riza and Burak – OMG! I have been waiting for that to happen since episode 1. I never thought Burak would have the courage to challenge Ali Riza – I mean in what world does he think he could beat him! My only disappointment is that it didn’t last long so Ali Riza could do a little more damage. I love that Ali Riza and Halide got a chance to talk and he explained why he’s staying away from her. And of course, Ali Riza in the shower?! Enough said. I really hope Muzaffer isn’t the person who’s betraying Ali Riza. I’d prefer it was Rasim since he’s already shady and would sell him out in a second. The fragman to next week’s episode looks amazing! I’m glad Haşmet finally finds out the truth about his family’s murder – the war between Fuat and Haşmet is going to be epic!
