First Look: 'Zümrüdüanka' on FOX

We know what you're thinking – 'Yet another dizi, when I can barely keep up with my current watchlist.' Well, well, well, that's what is here for *wink* *wink*

This particular dizi came out of nowhere, premiere date and everything, but it looks good so we thought we'd share.

Titled Zümrüdüanka, the drama filmed in the "fairy-tale world" of Cappadocia, tells a powerful story of an impossible love between two young people in their 20s. You know how the story goes... the guy is rich, the girl is barely making ends meet. Just when she is about to sacrifice her life and her happiness for the sake of her family,  "Gerçek Aşklar Küllerinden Doğar…" (True love rises from the ashes).

Fresh off his run as Cenk in Elimi Bırakma, Alp Navruz joins Ceren Yılmaz as a lead, in addition to an amazing cast that includes Hatice Aslan, Selim Bayraktar, Ayten Uncuoğlu, Serhat Özcan, Elif Çakman, Sebahat Kumaş, Mine Kılıç, Simge Selçuk, Korkmaz Arslan, Asiye Dinçsoy, Pelin Abay, Doğa Zeynep Doğuşlu, Barış Küçükgüler, Miray Akay, Gönül Akbaş, Serkan Açay, Gökhan Bekletenler, Eren Demir, Umut Karadağ, Nazlı Pınar Kaya and Ebrar Baba.

Expected to premiere January 25 on FOX, Zümrüdüanka is helmed by Can Si̇nan (O Hayat Benim, İnsanlık Suçu), directed by Cemal Şan, and produced by the team over at Pastel Film.

Navruz will bring to life the character Serhat to life; Serhat is a very hardworking and wealthy lad in his 20s who became an orphan at a very young age. He studied engineering whilst being raised by his uncle, who loves him as his own son. Word on the street is that Serhat became a martyr whilst in Syria. This news devasted everyone – little do they know...

Yilmaz on the other hand will star as Zümrüt, a loyal, proud, and hardworking lady from a family of 5, who harbours as an unspeakable pain in her heart.
