Turkish public broadcaster TRT's new streaming service tabii officially launches today, May. 7.
The service will be free during its initial launch phase, but it will later switch to a hybrid streaming model that includes paid options for ad-free streaming. For international viewers, subscription to the service is powered by YouTube.
To meet the demands of their viewers, the streaming service will offer all of their content in English, Urdu, Spanish, and Arabic, with both subtitles and dubbing for more than 30 original programs. All of TRT's already pre-existing content will also be made readily available, per TRT's Director of Advertising, Mustafa Ilbeyli.
