12 Turkish TV Duos That Reunited On Other Shows

Over the last decade, there have been few things that have delighted dizi fans more than seeing their favorite on-screen duos reunite in new shows. From Ferhat and Aslı to Elif and Ömer, we've rounded up the most memorable pairings who shared the screen again. Whether it's the same chemistry or a new dynamic, seeing these duos back together is a dream come true.

With a leading duo as unforgettable as İbrahim Çelikkol and Birce Akalay, Siyah Beyaz Aşk made its way to the dizi hall of fame following its 2017 premiere on Kanal D. In 2022, the pair reunited in the Netflix series Kuş Uçuşu (As The Crow Flies), putting to rest any rumors of past tensions between them. With their undeniable chemistry and talent, it's no wonder these two are considered some of the biggest stars in the diziland.

When it comes to good-looking on-screen duos, few can compete with Melisa Aslı Pamuk and Alperen Duymaz, who first captured our attention in the 2018 crime drama Çarpışma. Fans have been eagerly awaiting their reunion, and in 2023, their wish was granted when FOX announced they would lead EGO, the Turkish remake of the popular KDrama, Temptation. Despite rumors of a rocky relationship off-screen, when Pamuk and Duymaz are on screen together, magic happens.

When FOX canceled the popular Turkish drama Öğretmen in 2020, fans were left disappointed, never expecting to see the show's stars, Afra Saraçoğlu and Mert Ramazan Demir, reunite on screen. But fate had other plans, as the duo landed the lead roles in OGM Pictures' Yalı Çapkını, which has become one of Turkey's biggest hit series to date. From disappointment to success, Saraçoğlu and Demir have proved themselves as top-billing stars in the industry.

Back in 2017, Can Yaman and Özge Gürel starred in Star TV's Dolunay, a highly unrated romantic comedy that left a mark in our hearts. Fast-forward to three years later, the duo met again on-screen in FOX's Bay Yanlış (Mr. Wrong), a rom-com in which Gürel starred as Ezgi, a young woman who had lost all hope of finding Mr. Right, until she meets the womanizer Ozgur (Yaman).

Bergüzar Korel and Halit Ergenç, now happily married with three children, first met on the set of the record-breaking Turkish drama Binbir Gece, which originally premiered in 2006 and ran through 2009. After the show's international success, the duo was tapped in 2016 to star together in another hit, Kanal D's Vatanim Sensin. With their undeniable on-screen chemistry and real-life romance, Korel and Ergenç have become one of the most beloved and iconic duos in the world of Turkish dramas.

Ask any hardcore Turkish dizi fan and they would likely cite Black Money Love (Kara Para Aşk) as their first introduction to the captivating world of Turkish dramas. The award-winning series, which starred fan favorites Tûba Büyüküstün and Engin Akyürek, premiered in 2014 and has enjoyed renewed popularity since its addition to Netflix. In 2021, the duo reunited on screen for the second season of Star TV's Sefirin Kızı (The Ambassador's Daughter), with Büyüküstün portraying the enigmatic Mavi. Her addition to the cast came after the departure of Akyürek's former co-star, Neslihan Atagül.

Özge Gürel and Serkan Çayoğlu first captured audiences' hearts with their undeniable chemistry in the 2014 rom-com Kiraz Mevsimi. The duo later teamed up in the action-packed limited series Börü and finally reunited, this time as real-life partners, in a beautiful summer wedding in 2022.

In 2021, Ay Yapım reunited Aşk 101 costars Pınar Deniz and Kaan Urgancıoğlu in the Sema Ergenekon-penned legal drama Yargı, fulfilling many fans' dreams. The duo's exceptional on-screen chemistry in the Netflix YA original series made it an obvious choice to bring them back together in Yargı, and the decision has proved highly successful. Yargı, which is now in its second season, has been the highest-rated Sunday night drama series since its premiere.

If you're a fan of Turkish series, you may have heard of the short-lived but beloved Kaçak Gelinler. This 2014 show told the story of three runaway brides and brought together Furkan Andıç and Selin Şekerci for the first time on-screen. Although the show didn't last long, the duo was later reunited in Kanal D's 2020 rom-com Çatı Katı Aşk - albeit in a somewhat shady way.

Canan Ergüder and Serhat Teoman captured the hearts of viewers with their impeccable chemistry as Serkan and Feris in Star TV's local adaptation of the French hit show, Call My Agent, titled Menajerimi Ara. However, their time on screen was cut short due to Ergüder's battle with cancer (thankfully, she has since recovered!), leaving fans wanting more. Fortunately, Ay Yapım heard their pleas and reunited the beloved duo on screen again in the 2022 drama series, Oğlum, proving that their undeniable talent and charisma can overcome any obstacle.

Engin Öztürk and Aybüke Pusat left audiences wanting more after their brilliant performances in Netflix's crime drama of 2021. Thankfully, they were set to reunite in the highly-anticipated crime drama, Sifirinci Gün, which premiered at the end of 2022. Unfortunately, the excitement was short-lived as the series was abruptly canceled, leaving fans disappointed and TV8 on their @#$% list.

Fatih Harbiye has remained one of our favorite Turkish dramas, thanks in part to its exceptional cast led by Neslihan Atagül and Kadir Doğulu. Since the series premiered in 2013, a lot has changed for the duo, including the fact that they are now married and share the same last name. In 2022, they reunited on-screen in Star TV's Gecenin Ucunda, but despite their star power, the drama failed to find its audience and only aired for 26 episodes. Nevertheless, Atagül and Doğulu remain popular overseas and helped keep the series afloat.
