“Some people aren’t loyal to you. They are loyal to their need of you.”
Remember that first scene in episode one of Sadakatiz? Who is waiting for that scene as I do? Unfortunately arkadaşlar we didn’t see that in this episode too, but it doesn’t mean that we didn’t get any good bits in this episode. Warning, though: there are some spoilers ahead.
Recap
Knowing her husband has been unfaithful to her, Aysa leaves the party. She's ready to kick him out of the house, she packs all of his clothes and waiting for him to come back home. But instead of Volkan, Ali comes home first. He's pretty sad and angry by the fact that his dad might miss the picnic that his dad had promised before so Derya drives him home. While at home Aysa tells Derya that she knows Volkan has been cheating on her. Derya was in tears crying and says sorry for betraying her.
Meanwhile, at the party, Derin asked Volkan about her status and ask him to be faithful to her but Volkan asked her to be patient and wait for the right moment. To make her happy Volkan kissed her passionately, but they don't know that someone actually recorded them. Volkan comes home drunk, he dropped all the suitcase that Aysa has prepared and when upstairs to lay down on the bed. Aysa comes upstairs and allude to her between divorce her cheating husband or stay innocent for her son’s happiness. The next morning, all the suitcase has been gone. Aysa acts as nothing happened and still be that devoted wife and mother to her son. Volkan fulfilled his promise to go on a picnic with Ali. They seem very happy and enjoy their time together.
In the hospital, Aysa got a new patient and it’s none other than Derin. For the procedure proposed, she asked her a couple of sexual activities questions. Such as, if she is sexually active and if she is seeing someone. Without hesitance, she says yes and says that her boyfriend is actually married. Later, Aysa also told her to take a urine test. Derin agrees and gives the urine to her, turns out she actually doing a pregnancy test. The test pack shows two lines that make her lose of words. From Derin's reactions, it seems that she didn’t see it coming too. In front of Derin, Aysa managed to hold herself but when Derin leaves the room she breaks down and cries. Aysa tells Darya about Derin’s pregnancy. Darya says nothing to worry about and let Derin have an abortion.
The next morning Aysa asked Volkan to be honest with her and asked him to end his relationship with other women so then she can forgive him but he still decided to continue lying to her face like he’s loyal and faithful hubby. Not happy with his answer, Aysa called Derya and told her to tell Volkan about Derin's pregnancy. Downstairs Volkan got a call and leave the house to meet Derin. In the hospital, Derya didn’t like the idea of Volkan knowing Derin’s pregnancy. But for Aysa, that is the right thing to do. She wants to know who is the one he chooses. Is it his devoted wife and the mother of his son? Or a traitor that he just met three months ago?
Thoughts
Sadakatsiz starts off as somewhat of a slow. But I don't have a problem with it. I like how the story so far. It’s a good of a building character of Asya. Cansu Dere once again proves to us how powerful she can be. She just can sit in front of the mirror but we still can feel her presence. Aysa seems pretty open to Derya now - which somehow makes me worry. I hope she didn't trust her much.
One of the reasons I look forward to this drama is because of Caner Cindoruk – or Volkan. I like him so much in Zemheri - he is also the reason I watch Zemheri till the end. In the previous episode, we don’t see much of him but in the second episode we do see his story - but of course, that does still not help us to understand why he cheated on Aysa.
We also can see how Volkan has been a source of Ali’s happiness. The bond between father and son between them is strong. When Ali found out the truth about his dad it would not be easy.
For me, the most interesting part of this episode is that we see someone recorded Volkan and Derin while they’re kissing at the party. But till the end of the episode, we still don’t know who is it. Who do you guys think it will be? What do think about this episode? What is your favourite scene?
