Nothing like some good ol' female-fronted dramas.

The Turkish remake of 'Mistresses' is officially a go. Titled locally as 'Yalancılar ve Mumları,' the remake is helmed by the powerhouse MED Yapim, with Nermin Yıldırım penning the script, and Merve Girgin directing.

Yalancılar ve Mumları, set to premiere on FOX Thursday, Sept 30, follows the story of a group of 30-something friends who met at university, but whose lives, and love lives, have taken very different turns.

Elçin Sangu, Ceren Moray, Feyyaz Duman, Şafak Pekdemir, Burcu Gölgedar, Melike Güner, İsmail Demirci and İlker Kızmaz lead the local version, which marks the sixth market to adapt the Mistresses format.

Elif (Ceren Moray) lost her husband in a boat accident and still has not accepted this loss. Missed calls make her think that her husband is alive. Elif is supported by her closest friends Ceyda (Elçin Sangu), Meliha (Safak Pekdemir) and Sebnem (Burcu Shadedar). Ceyda is a woman who does not like to be attached to anyone and prefers to live freely. Meliha is a successful psychiatrist. White-collar Sebnem, on the other hand, has problems with her husband. The reality of these four women is far different from what they think...

Don't miss the premiere of Yalancılar ve Mumları, Thurs, Sept 30 on FOX!
