Cameras are officially rolling on Show TV's highly anticipated new series, Kalpazan, produced by O3 Medya.
The series, which will see the eagerly-awaited reunion of Çağlar Ertuğrul and Deniz Baysal on screen, is described as a "shocking story of morality, family, and the price of greed." Kalpazan is written by Sema Ali Erol, Mahir Erol, Ayşenur Sıkı, and Türküler Özgü, directed by Uğur Karaaslan, and will come to life under the creative production of Mehmet Ada Öztekin.
Before kicking off production, the series' leading actors, Timuçin Esen, Çağlar Ertuğrul, Şükran Ovalı, and Deniz Baysal, got together for a table read, pictures from which were shared with the press.
The strong cast of the series also includes Sarp Akkaya, Deniz Hamzaoğlu, İlker Kızmaz, Sinan Arslan, Aslı İçözü, Güler Göksun, Ali Seçkiner Alıcı, and Osman Alkaş.
Propped up as a series that will deeply impact its viewers, Kalpazan follows the honest Adem (Timuçin Esen), who works as an ordinary clerk at a mint. Adem turns his life upside down with a surprise he makes for his son, Arda. What seems like an innocent gesture leads to an irreversible downfall in Adem’s life, bringing him to the brink of losing his job, his wife Canan (played by Şükran Ovalı), and even his son.
Things take a further turn for the worse with the arrival of his charismatic yet cunning brother, Kartal (Çağlar Ertuğrul), during this difficult period. As the two brothers challenge the law, the only person who can bring about their downfall is Police Officer Ayşe (Deniz Baysal). Kartal’s unexpected encounter with Ayşe and his subsequent love for her will shift the balance entirely.
Kalpazan will premiere this fall on Show TV!
