It’s official. The Protector (also known as Hakan: Muhafız) officially has a release date. The highly-anticipated Sci-Fi, Fantasy series is set to premiere on Netflix on November 14, 2018.
The star-studded series, which marks the first-ever Turkish production by Netflix, follows the story of Hakan (Çağatay Ulusoy), a young man who given "mystical powers by a talismanic keepsake." Unaware on how to use the powers, Hakan embarks on a journey of resilience, one which involves him training tirelessly in order to fight the shadowy forces that threaten his city, Istanbul.
The Protector stars Çağatay Ulusoy (Icerde) as Hakan, Ayça Aysin Turan (Meryem) as Leyla, Hazar Ergüçlü (Medcezir) as Zeynep, Mehmet Kurtulus (Muhtesem Yüzyil: Kösem) as Mazhar and many more.
As of right now, though the first season is yet to premiere, the second season of the show has either finished production or is in production. That only means Netflix has really high expectations for it's first Turkish production and that's awesome.
