Turkish dramas are becoming the standard for quality television series. Year after year, the bar keeps getting raised with the production level of their dramas.

We've been hooked on the dramas. We've laughed along to the comedies. We've fallen in love with the romantic comedies. This year, we'll be captivated by the entrailing emotional dramas, thanks to both of OGM Pictures' productions, the returning Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir and the brand new series Kırmızı Oda.

TV8 aims to raise the bar with their forthcoming therapy-situated drama Kırmızı Oda (Red Room), which began production earlier this month. Set to premiere in September, the series, based on the real-life stories of Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu, will explore deep and very important topics never been seen on Turkish TV before. In the Red Room, the pain, happiness, and sadness that underlie every life story will captivate the audience at one point. While the patients tell their unshared secrets; the viewers will also be left accounting themselves for their own actions.

The cast of the highly-anticipated drama includes verteran actress Binnur Kaya, Tülin Özen, Burak Sevinç, Meriç Aral, Halit Özgür Sarı, Gülçin Kültür Şahin, Sezin Bozacı, and Baran Can Eraslan. Kırmızı Oda is directed by Cem Karcı (Hercai) and penned by Banu Kiremetçi Bozkurt.

In the second trailer, revealed today, guest stars Evrim Alasya, Salih Bademci ve Hande Doğandemir make their first appearances. Evidently, the first episode will touch on domestic abuse as well as an immense level of trauma.

It is safe to say we are in for a trip every single week in the forthcoming season and we couldn't be more excited.
